Spell Casting
Spells are a word, a formula or an incantation that is believed to have magical powers. Spells can be used for both good and evil, and are usually cast by witches or wizards. Once a spell is cast, it is supposed to remain in force until it is broken by either a counter-spell or an exorcism.
Spells are magical acts that are intended to cause an effect on reality by using supernatural means. Spells have their origins in pagan religions and beliefs. Collections of spells were known as grimoires.
Spells usually require several processes to be effective. These include preparation (collecting and depositing the ingredients, fasting, praying), a magical performance and an invocation or chant, an execution and a closure to make the spell complete.
Black magic spells are when the goal of the spell, or the means used to achieve it, are illegal, evil or immoral. White spells are done for the good of society using innocuous means. Hence, black and white witches cast very different spells.
